When I was growing up in the early 70's there was much turmoil about the Vietnam war. My dad, as a vet was impacted by it all. One of his favorite records was the WoodStock album. The track that seemed to stick most in my mind was performed by Country Joe & The Fish.It was entitled, "I Feel LIke I'm Fixin' to Die"The Chorus of the song goes on to say:"And it's one, two, three, What are we fighting for?Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,Next stop is Vietnam"As we launch into one of the most competitive race fields ever assembled in the history of Rolex GT - and Continental Challenge (neither of which are any Vietnam, no disrespect meant in anyway) - we launch into a battle ROYALE never the less. Yet, if I had to guess Q, Weisberg, Miller, Curran, Plumb, Carter and I are probably asking ourselves the exact same questions as this song this a.m.EXCEPT for two things:1.) We're not the ones feeling like we're fixing to die - it's the kids we're focusing on that do. Every single day of the week, month & year - this little guys are struggling like the struggle our races will present us today and tomorrow.2.) We know what we're fighting for. It's to stay out of trouble in the race and execute as may laps as we can for...kids like Evan & KyleIt's my goal, to use our our challenges, hardships, successes or failures in this arena as voluntary metaphors for what each sunrise brings this young warriors. We want every race fan to understand that giving just $1 can profoundly impact the lives of this little guys and give them a shot."Well, come on all of you, big strong men,Uncle Sam Guardian Angel Motorsports needs your help again...."Will you please share this link on your face book, linkedin, twitter, myspace, google or whatever else I can't think of page for me?
